How We Work
At Lighthouse Cabinetry, we specialize in creating completely custom-designed kitchens that are tailored specifically to your needs and preferences. Our aim is to foster a creative and efficient collaboration with you to ensure that the end result is a space that you'll never want to leave.
Due to an increase in demand, we recommend clients reach out at least 6 months prior to their planned “start date”, to allow adequate time to get in the queue and complete the design phase before ground breaking. If your project timeline is tighter, please feel free to reach out, but know that we may not be able to accommodate your schedule.
If you are considering working with us, keep in mind that a typical Lighthouse Cabinetry kitchen will start around $25K for cabinetry and design services.
The design process begins with an assessment of your space and discussion about your vision, must-haves and dreams for your new kitchen. We start with a 3D rendering to help you visualize the aesthetics and functionality of your cabinetry and kitchen flow, and personalize your new space. We will either work off your architects drawings, or we will have your space professionally measured and drafted.
After developing a preliminary floor plan, the next step is to overlay your unique storage considerations, design preferences, and family habits to refine the plan until it feels just right. Millwork options will be discussed and refined later, during the two-dimensional shop drawing phase.
We can help with selections and ordering of appliances, plumbing fixtures, countertops, hardware, lighting and other finishes if you’d like, or we are happy to collaborate with your interior designer on these selections.
Don’t forget to ask about cabinetry for other rooms in your house! We design and produce cabinetry and built-ins for other spaces, frequently helping with bath vanities, mudroom storage, laundry rooms, home offices and family room built-ins as part of a larger home renovation.
